The Association

The aim of the Association is the study and dissemination of the history, literature, thought, Science and Arts of the tradition of Greco-Roman antiquity, of Humanism and of the Renaissance, in their broadest sense.

News

The General Assembly of the International Association «Artes Renascentes» held on November 10, 2022, decided unanimously to dissolve the Association and to transfer its assets to the Société internationale Leon Battista Alberti (= S.I.L.B.A.) which, on its part, has committed itself to take forward the former’s main activities, notably the publication of the «Artes Renascentes» journal. Founded in Pisa

GattamelataThe International Association «Artes Renascentes» for study, research and publishing activities is founded in Pisa, Italy, on the 20th of September 2014 (see Journal Officiel de la République Française: Lois et Décrets: Associations, n° 44, 1st November 2014: Annonce n° 1863; n° RNA W943003925).

The Association’s logo was conceived by Vladimiro Valerio.

Foundation (declaration)

For reasons of practicality and simplicity, the International Association «Artes Renascentes» (in its shortened form «Artes Renascentes») was set up according to European and in particular French international law. It deposited with the Greffe des Associations of the relevant country (ref. no. W9433925), the required Foundation Declaration, its Statutes, the (provisional) List of Directors (on this point, see the Agenda formally approved at Pisa, on 20 September 2014 in accordance with the most urgent obligations, amongst which was the constitution of the Direttorio di transizione (Transitional Management Committee) which would govern the Association in its first year of existence, up until the General Assembly of 2015 More…
